WisCaregiver Careers is a workforce development program administered by the Wisconsin Health Care Association and LeadingAge Wisconsin designed to address the CNA shortage in Wisconsin nursing homes by providing free training, free certification testing, and $500 sign-on or retention bonuses.

Last week Friday, WisCaregiver Careers hosted an Employer Check-In: Toolkit and Reimbursement webinar to connect with employer partners. WisCaregiver Careers marketing partner, Pigorsch Media, provided a preview of the upcoming employer toolkit that features exciting strategies and recruitment tools for employers to boost their local marketing efforts of the WisCaregiver program at their facility. The employer toolkit will be available on the WHCA website in the coming weeks.

Wiscaregiver staff also walked through the various reimbursements available through the program and provided detailed instructions for how to participate in WisCaregiver Careers and receive reimbursements through the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry TestMaster Universe (TMU) website.  This process can also be reviewed in the Step-by-Step Guide.
