Application Period to Open Soon for $15 Million in Grants Supporting Quality and Innovation in Wisconsin Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is launching the second round of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Grants Supporting Quality and Innovation, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The grants will range from $25,000 to $1 million to enact innovative changes that will benefit participants, families, and the long-term care workforce in Wisconsin. The initiative aims to positively impact people receiving HCBS from providers regionally, locally, and in urban and rural communities throughout the state. A total of $15 million is available in this second round. Previously, $17 million was given out during the first round.

Applications for this round will open on February 21 and close on March 21, 2023. Visit the DHS website for details about the grant opportunity. The website also offers summary information about round 1 and includes lists of recipients.
