The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has announced that Bill Hanna has been named the new Medicaid Director. Hanna assumes the role after former Medicaid Director Jamie Kuhn left DHS at the start of the year.

Hanna has been serving as Deputy Medicaid Director since August 2023. He has 15 years experience in Medicaid, with previous work at DHS, Dane County, and Portage County, as well as the Department of Health Care Finance for Washington, D.C.

The Wisconsin Medicaid Director oversees the entire Medicaid program, including LTC Medicaid and Family Care.
