Learn Point Click Care (PCC) Reporting for Infection Control Surveillance
Tuesday, April 16 | 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. CT
This webinar will explore PCC reporting to obtain infection control data from your Minimum Data Set (MDS). We will discuss how to audit your data, including vaccinations, electronic medical administration records (eMAR), assessments, care plans and nursing documentation to validate your infection control program.
Infection Preventionist Workgroup: Compliance, Best Practices and Tools for Success
Six sessions, Thursdays, 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. CT, starting April 18.
Note: There will not be a session held on Thursday, May 23, 2024
This workgroup will explore the F-tags that guide infection prevention programs in nursing homes. We will take a deep dive into the State Operations Manual (SOM) language, surveyor guidance and provide nursing homes with best practices and resources. Content is designed for new infection preventionists (IPs) as well as seasoned IPs to set up their infection control programs for success and quality outcomes. The six sessions will be interactive with opportunities for collaborative sharing and peer-to-peer learning.

Superior Health is coordinating an in-person event dedicated to IPs. Our subject matter experts and quality improvement advisors along with invited speakers from Michigan Health and Human Services’ Surveillance for Healthcare-Associated and Resistant Pathogens (SHARP) Unit and the Multi-drug Resistant Organism (MDRO) Team will present on MDRO, Candida auris and enhanced barrier precautions. Discussions will also focus on supports for IPs to be successful including:
