Earlier this year, the Department of Health Services (DHS) ended its contract with appraisal firm CBIZ. Until a new contract is in place, DHS will be inflating its facilities’ URC/DRC by 15% for the current cost report year.

If your facility has undergone a major renovation or new build within the last year, this temporary fix will likely not be adequate. DHS is working on a potential process to appraise these facilities and WHCA/WiCAL wants to ensure any such facilities are counted in DHS’s plans.
